Leslie, of course, is the performance artist best known for turning those sweaters your weird aunt wears into some kind of high art commentary on the de-feminization of American fashion; MC Digga is Heidelberg, Germany’s most notorious Falco-esque rapper (now living, somehow, in Philly); and of course, Sgt. Sass are these guys. Highly recommended.

>>> Oh, and mid-1990s total Philly suckfest? Your presence is requested at the Clockcleaner show at Pi Lam. How much you wanna bet the singer’s gonna do something “edgy?” Oh, college, stick it up your ass, get a fake ID and go to one of the garage rock shows: Mondo Topless/The Brimstones/DJ Gallows & Thee Chief Inspector at M Room or that Positively Sick On South Street show at Tritone.
SATURDAY:
>>> Now that your weekend has been totally front-loaded, take a breather and go to the only solid lineup of this entire Northern Liberties Music Festival thing that has been at The Fire all week and continues through 2012. Crooked Looks/Illinois/Drink Up Buttercup/Cheers Elephant/Creaky Boards/East Hundred/Peasant all get together and break some kind of record, and also set it up so that you don’t have to go another local band show for a solid 9 months. With all that extra time, you could start your OWN band!
