Hmm, thought this guy might have been a visionary, but it turns out he’s just anachronistic. Turns out the “metal hair” look on Klingons actually goes as far back as the race’s “revision” in 79’s Star Trek the Motion Picture. Still a guy with Klingony features and a federation uniform, on the bridge of a federation starship no less, got me thinking this guy might have been anticipating Worf, but it turns out Next Generation premiered 2 years prior to this vignette. So all we got is a guy with Klingon hair wearing a Federation uniform on a Starfleet bridge some 8 years before Trek cannon has Worf entering the Academy. Then again, with the revised Klingon hair, and no facial prosthetics, maybe our good DJ/host is anticipating the half Klingon in Voyager and should see to Paramont for some residuals hook up.
Or maybe I’m just forgetting what “radio hair” was like in ‘89.
