But as this blog bears witness, it’s also a way of life; hype’em here — you’re sure to dig if you like early Stereolab, crusty Canadians or whooooooshy synths. Meanwhile, Super Furry Animals (pictured) have been on the scene for a while now, standing tall and proud as the Welsh Pink Floyd or Flaming Lips or something like that. We love it when people sing in Welsh, it may be the best rock language, in fact — it’s got a heavy Elf Quest vibe, but subtitle-phobics need not fear, because they know English, too. (Hype SFA here.) Both of these fantastic, hope-giving groups play the Starlight Ballroom on Saturday night and friends, you know how we like to share. But you must be quick.
