Reader Nicole Wants You To Know: Tidewater Grain (Not The Shitty Grape Street Band) About To Implode

tidewater grain

This isn’t a humorous photoshop or anything clever like that, but I thought that some of your readers might care to know that the Tidewater Grain Elevator near the Girard Point Bridge is set to be imploded Sunday Morning (7 I believe). I know that a number of artists in Philadelphia have, over the years, interpreted the decaying industrial infrastructure in Philly in really interesting ways– and some folks who might be interested in seeing this implosions may not know about it yet. Perhaps they are your readers and might benefit from hearing about this potential muse. For that matter, I’m sure that Chris Doc (Ruins, see below), Brad Maule and the other 2 people who care are the only ones who know of the beautiful structure.
With all of the chatter about our riverfront, it is interesting to witness an often not seen aspect of the riverfront structure’s
lifecycle.

Happy Holidays.
