New Beanie Sigel Album To Feature… White People!
Beanie Sigel has had a rough couple of years since his last album, 2005’s The B. Coming: A $26K child support bill that landed his ass in the hoosegow, two years probation for popping some sucka in the eye, a shooting that may or may not have been a hoax, and having a judge call him out for being a bullshit artist. But this, friends, are the small stones that the comeback trail is made of. On December 11, Beanie releases his fourth album, The Solution, currently leaking all the fuck over the Internet. We’ve procured a copy, and this is definitely Beanie’s come-up. The production is slick, the hooks are irresistable, and in the time-honored Jay-Z mode, the record is thick with seemingly incongruous white people guesting on tracks, most notably Ozzy Osbourne and, we shit you not, James Blunt. James Blunt! Don’t believe us? Listen:
And yes, that is definitely most of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” you’re hearing sampled there. We’re razzin’ Beanie a bunch, sure, but The Solution really is a very solid record. Get used to to seeing Beanie in places besides the Daily News next year. And we gotta say: Welcome back, man. Your dreams were your ticket out.
