woody guthrie>>> The Philadelphia Folk Festival will be premiering six never-before-heard Woody Guthrie (pictured) songs in December as part of a fundraiser they’re having at World Cafe Live. The tunes will be done in the style of Mermaid Avenue — that is, Woody’s lyrics, set to the melodies of those performing them, which in this case will be Jonatha Brooke, Chris Smither, John Gorka and more.
