No, That’s Not A Columbian Drug Plantation, It’s North Philly
Airoots.Organic, which describes itself as a blog about “adventitious roots, urban forests & villages, natural cities, lost tribes, new nomads, and everything in between,” scored an interview with Mad Decent‘s DJ Diplo. In between mind-tripping pictures captured with what looks to be one of those tiny photo-scopes digitized for the internet, Diplo explains his love of Philly roller-skating rinks, prhibidao fun, and about 15 dance references you won’t and won’t want to understand. Why open the label in Philly instead of NYC, they asked?
cant afford new york my rent in philly is 300 bucks a month
[If you're reading, Diplo, I'm looking for a roomate.] The most compelling part of the piece— you’ll be amazed at how Airoots makes Philly seem cooler then Rio de Janeiro, without the crime. Well, uhm… without that big Jesus statue, anyway.
