Port Richmond Sinks Lower With Eagles Loss
If a street collapses in Port Richmond, but everyone is balls deep in Thriftway buying Pringles for the Eagles game, does it make a sound? Considering how little attention Ann St. gets when it caves in, we’re not so sure. When we saw the headline “Street Collapse,” we were thinking of the VIP, and not the wee street that is a straight shot to the Port Richmond Library, a building most nearby residents don’t even kno-… oh, it’s just too easy. As recollection set in, we wondered if Fat Mom’s Deli, with the Betty Boop paintings on either side of the entrance, remained unswayed.

It wasn’t as big, but a hole like that opened on my street in North Philadelphia out of the blue, too. It was weird to look into it and see that the pavement wasn’t really resting on anything. The streets crew didn’t come for about two weeks.
