Fresh off a rare 14-medal pillaging of the Great American Beer Festival by Philly-area beers (somehow Harrisburg counts) comes word of our own great big drinkfest. Philly Beer Week will hit town March 7 to 16, uniting boozy brethen from all corners of the world in our little corner of the world. Joe Sixpack, Monk’s, and this dude are all involved in the nonprofit effort, which is a pretty good sign. But having it wrap up the day before St. Paddy’s Day? Is there no end in sight to our Citywide Bender of March ‘08? Speaking of, wait till all those lager-loving visitors get a load of the Citywide Special. The collective heartburn will send ripples across the country.
