Jigga What? Jay-Z Manor Nearing Completion
Back in April of ’06, we reported on a rumor regarding Jay-Z — although some of you may call him “Greatest Rapper Alive,” which is also acceptable — purchasing a large chunk of a block of North American Street. At the time, we were hearing that the block was in South Kensington, which made no sense to us at the time, but today we’re hearing from sources that the block Jigga bought on was in fact the 600 block of N. American, in Northern Liberties. Which makes a lot more sense. And after the project stalled for about a year, it looks like the L’Eau Condominiums might just be the houses that Jay built. Okay, that’s walking distance in a straight line on legal roads from my house. It isn’t any more done now than it was on Google street view. I doubt it’s really “for Jay-Z”. But I grew up in the same neighborhood and at the same time as Fifty Cent (and I’m a white boy who went to private prep school followed by a liberal arts college), so I’ll happily go smack his bitch up if he moves in. And by “his bitch” I do mean “him”. Fucking yuppie slime.
