Today, Thursday, September 27th Love Park is RED for Showtime’s hit show, Dexter. Great photo opp. The fountain will be red until 6pm. Lots of workers in lab coats giving out free Dexter swag all day long.

Wait a minute: You can’t fucking skateboard in Love Park anymore, but for the right price, you can fill the fountain with fake Hollywood blood for the day? OK, just checking. Personally, we would have preferred a fountain full of sticky-icky a la the season premiere of Weeds, but different Showtime strokes for different Showtime folks, we suppose. Network Makes a Splash With 14 City
Promotional Stunt for Season 2 of its Award Winning Original Series Dexter

New York, NY – (September 27, 2007) – Fifteen major cities across the US will be participating in a
unique artistically inspired water exhibit dubbed “Dexter’s Red Fountains” on September 27 in
celebration of the second season premiere of Showtime Networks critically acclaimed drama original
series, Dexter. on September 30.

SHOWTIME and Pop2Life – Creative Marketing & Promotion are creating unforgettable scenes at
landmark locations using existing or custom built fountains in each city. Water in fountains will be
dyed red and the site cordoned off with branded banner tape, touting the season premiere of Dexter.

In New York City’s Times Square for example, a fifteen foot tall custom built Dexter fountains will
be installed in the overnight hours and will begin spewing red water just as the morning rush is
underway. Street teams will be on hand [adorned in Dexter forensic lab coats] to distribute free DVDs
and other Showtime premiums. The grand finale’ of the day will take place at the world famous
Buckingham Fountain in downtown Chicago. The historic fountain (with its 1.5 million gallons of

The Dexter story line hides behind the mundane exterior and contrived façade of Dexter
Morgan(Michael C. Hall), a charming blood spatter expert for the Miami Police Department, who has
an obsession with meeting his own twisted brand of justice: stalking and punishing the guilty. Season
two of the critically acclaimed Showtime Original Series Brotherhood premieres immediately
following Dexter at 10pm.
