  • In what universe don’t Art Institute kids get their full tuition’s worth? The big project this semester: Designing vests for the homeless, proving that enrolling over at 16th and Chestnut really is the best way to prepare for the upcoming season of Project Runway. Although you kids should be careful when repeating the whole “Make it work” principle: The homeless don’t like to be referred to as “it,” and if they had “work,” they wouldn’t be homeless.
  • Information is scant regarding the Philly Designers Expo this weekend — c’mon guys, at least act like you’ve got it together — but we do know it will include a big sidewalk sale at Deep Sleep in Old City.
  • And finally, we can’t figure out what the Waffles N Falafels Girls are, either. But we have a feeling that by the time they have a scripted reality show, we’ll probably have it figured out.
