Rumblings: Did Somebody Say Fajitas?

philly dot com logo>>> Philly.com quietly rolled out its redesign over the weekend, and among the many design crimes committed here, the most egregious has surely got to be its use of a “Fajita” style font, in which the words “anything & everything Philly” appear to be scrawled in crayon — you know, just the way Philadelphians do. Meanwhile, the news navigation mimics local-TV type sites like NBC10 and WPVI, prompting us to think: Wait, are these the sites that Philly.com think are getting it right? Hoo boy. [Philly.com]
>>> There’s no justice, there’s just us: The U.S. Court of Appeals has thrown out Anthony Di Meo III’s appeal to a higher court to overturn the dismissal of the suit he brought against Tucker Max for pissing in his Cheerios. (Metaphorically speaking, of course. We don’t want to upset the Cheerios people.) This serving of “Get bent” from the higher court is bit of a landmark case, then, proving that while American citizens are in fact free to pursue frivolous lawsuits against those that may repeatedly clown their asses online, said lawsuits are usually destined for failure and unless you’re sitting on a huge pile of blueberry money, it’s kind of a waste of time.
