Pearls & Brass. Pissed Jeans. Randy Huth has a big hand in both, and any day now Drag City will release his self-titled solo debut as Randall of Nazareth. But it’s for something else that we’re loving him right now: The Gay Randy, his namesake Khyber concoction. It’s real simple — Miller High Life and orange juice — and real yummy, like an extra foamy Orange Julius without the food court stink. Usually when a drink tastes this dessert-y, it’s smuggling in untold amounts of cheap liquor. But the beauty of The Gay Randy is that it’s pretty damn weak. So chug a few, operate a forklift, let this tune sink in slowly, and tip your hat to Mr. Huth, who’s gone and done it again.
