This Evening: Fuck Blogrock, This Is FOGROCK
>>> Show goodness abounds, so let’s be brief: Vampire Weekend/Public Record/DJ Mickey Walker at Foggy Notion at The M Room is very nearly sold out, so get there early! We are mercilessly hyped about this show, if that makes any sense, so please put on your pink polo and do The Monster Mash with us tonight. Foggy Notion is not a party, Foggy Notion is a way of life. But that ain’t even half of what’s going on tonight…
>>> Right down the street, Bonde Do Role/Plastic Little/Gang/Pink Skull are all at Johnny Brenda’s. The Bonde/PL combination in particular is a lethal party cocktail, so much so, that we’re synchronizing our watches in the hopes of catching some of that as well. Meanwhile, Pissed Jeans/Clockcleaner share a bill at the First Unitarian Church, prompting many Beatles/Monkees comparisons and debates on whether the Sharkey schtick is more suited to his beloved Kidd Chris radio show than this thing called music. Bitch, you already know where we stand on this.
>>> Partytimeexcellent: The Labold Brothers party we mentioned in Phashionista the other day, Bloodbath’s Mo Money No Problems at Silk, and the Factory Records-friendly Movement at Sal’s. Death or glory, kids. Choose wisely.
