Slideshow: FACT/Sugarhouse Picnic Aftermath
Sent to us by a reader, these photos — taken this morning — represent the aftermath of the FACT/Sugarhouse Picnic over the weekend that we reported on yesterday. FACT (or Fishtown Action), of course, is the community group that has sprouted up in recent months to support the development of Sugarhouse, for reasons known only to them, their God and their bankers. It was under FACT’s watch, we are told, that an anti-casino activist was violently attacked at the picnic held on Saturday at Penn Treaty Park, an underused little gem by the river that we’ve had a soft spot for ever since the fifth grade. The picnic was sponsored by, of course, Sugarhouse. So these pictures represent a little something more to us then. The picnic was on Saturday; these pictures were taken this morning (Tuesday). Hey FACT: It’s time to wake the hell up and take out the trash.
