Readers Write: Did Jayson Werth Get A Heckler Tossed? WHATEVER, HE’S WERTH IT!

So, we were minding our own business, sitting in right field watching the Phils get absolutely p-u-m-m-e-l-e-d by the Padres last Friday night when the guy behind us (all 15 of us who stayed until the bitter end) starts in on Jayson Werth — “you’re WERTHless” — “Bobby Abreu had more heart” — “Bourn will break his ankles for us and you’re whining about your thumb” — “Let’s all feel bad for Jayson, waah, waah, waah” — etc. Normal, right? Lo and behold, a security guard comes to remove this guy for alleged “complaints” and then removes the rest of us when we questioned The Man about why the Heckler was getting tossed. Insanity ensues, citations are issued, Constitutional Amendments violated. We’re told by some not hush hush ushers that sometimes players will ask hecklers to be removed from the stands. CAN YOU IMAGINE A PHILLY PLAYER GETTING PHANS TOSSED DUE TO HECKLERS IN THIS TOWN? How are there any fans left sitting behind Pat the Bat in left field? Philebrity, can you get to the bottom of this!?Werth, meantime, goes 9-9 following the incident. Sometimes you just need a little Philly love to get you back on track.
But for serious: How much Philly love does it take to get that Brazilian off my man’s chin?

as lame as it is, the stadium (that we all paid for) is private property. they legally can toss you out for almost any reason they come up with.

Werth looks much better when he has a mustache. He has a “Sheriff Bullock from ‘Deadwood’” thing going on then.
