i’m actually happy about this. i can’t deal with some of these “provocative,” (ooooh) and “daring” (oooooh) HBO dramas. so alarmingly original, aren’t we?
(palm of hand to mouth…subsequent simulation of fart noise)
i’ll take some more Wire, though.
rest in peace, bodie.

Looks like the article was implying the fate of the Conchords may be crash and burn too. Really hard to sustain a show if all the good bits are out on YouTube. Especially if said show is Tenacious D with a New Zealand accent and ‘07 music sensibilities.

HBO could use some kind of science fiction series. ya know – something that could blow the likes of star trek and battlestar (yes, the new series, too) out of the freaking water.

Good–they can bring back Deadwood, then. Best damn dialogue in a television series–both poetic and profane. Had more to say about the American psyche than Sopranos ever did.
Plus, I had a yen for Alma…so high-strung, so proper, so many cute little freckles…

I second Mr. Wallen’s recommendation. A few hours with on-demand and you’re set [tho the HD on-demand seems to be effed up.]

Not only is Deadwood not coming back, but they’re not going to make any Deadwood movies. But John Milch is staying with HBO, for some reason, I guess so he can create more series for them to cancel prematurely.
