· Update on the Yards brewery breakup: Bill and Nancy Barton — the side that didn’t get the name or the recipes — have issued a press release saying that they have officially formed Philadelphia Brewing Co., slated to begin production in the fall on the site of what was/still is the Yards brewery in Kensington (pictured). No word yet on what exactly will be brewing there, but according to this Inky article, Yards King of Beers Tom Kehoe is already phawkering on and on about how he thinks the Bartons are going to steal the Yards recipes, while the Bartons counter that they are in fact going to swoop in and claim a bunch of heretofore Yards employees, when the time comes. · Little birdies are telling us that the Johnny Brenda’s guys are well nigh on announcing plans for a stall in the Linc this year, flipping local beers and pork sandwiches. Like so many roasted long-hots, this one’s developing…
