This Evening: Bang Bang
>>> Tonight begins International House’s “Beyond Leone – Lost Spaghetti Western Classics”, their program of only the dirtiest, dago-ist shoot-’em-ups that runs through Saturday. First up? Lee Van Cleef’s Day Of Anger, plucked right from the collection of Quentin Tarantino his own damn self. Check the link for details of the remaining days, and practice up on the ol’ imitating-dubbed-dialogue bit, because you’re sure to be walking out of the theater wishing you had a drug rug as awesome as the ones displayed in these films, as well as the ability to think in Italian and speak, 1.2 seconds later, in English.
>>> Obligatory “Clockcleaner is not good” post: They’re not, but we know you’re curious. Grind down that hype, son, at Johnny Brenda’s. With Jay Reatard, who also seems to be riding on the “I’m aggro” bandwagon, but in a much more futuro-primitive covered-in-blood garage rock way. On further reflection, we think we might be in love. Sigh.
