Failed Los Lonely Boys Assassination Attempt Results In A Few Scrapes And DUI Charge

CAMDEN, N.J. – July 21, 2007 – An SUV careened out of control during a concert at Wiggins Park, injuring at least four people including a young girl.

The accident happened during WXPN-FM’s XPoNential Music Festival, which is taking place this weekend.

We kid, but having suffered through about half of the Blues Hammer Los Lonely Boys set, we did have a feeling we weren’t gonna get outta there without somebody getting hurt. But kudos are in order: Flying SUVs notwithstanding, kudos go out to the WXPN folks for making the weekend a vibe hang supreme for the whole family. Also, if the roadie who we heard was punching the driver in the face while he was still in the car and the car was still moving is out there reading this, please get at us. We so want you to be our bodyguard. Or at least be our spotter.

Dude had, like, 19 bags of cocaine in his SUV with him, natch.

So sorry you aren’t an LLB fan! I would have given anything to have been there to see them again – after seeing them 9 days ago – 4 nights in a row, from Hampton Beach to New Haven!

Not funny about the out of control SUV and so happy there were no serious injuries. But, come on… if you aren’t a fan no need to be mean. I may not like YOUR music, but it’s a big world and we can all live in it peacefully and accept our differences!
