This Weekend: All You Need Is Love

clfrontol.jpgScroll to the bottom for our XPoNential Fest picks. It is going on all weekend and the weather is fine so head to Camden and check it out.
FRIDAY
>>> Tonight might just be one of the best parties of the summer: CREW LOVE! All of the best DJs at one party in a huge warehouse in West Philly. And, it is BYOB! Cause, ya know, booze is cheaper when you buy it at the store. We still have some free tickets to give away. Check it!
>>> Get yourself amped to dance all night at Crew Love at the First Unitarian Church. Home-town boys VIP are here for a visit, and they bring the sass with Gravy Train, Gang and Mc Digga. Act like you know.
SATURDAY
>>> Start your day off right with some good finds at the R5′s biannual Punk Rock Flea Market at the Starlight. Check out the vendor list and get there early for the best finds!
>>> There are a few good shows tonight, so check it out: Three 4 Tens at Johnny Brenda’s, The Teeth at the Northstar, and Birds of Maya open it up at the Khyber. We feel like all three will be equally good, so choose your own adventure.
>>> If you don’t get enough White Tees, White Belts on Friday night, head to the M Room for Simplyfly’s Roll Call! And get there early cause that party has exploded. If you are feeling rock instead of hip hop head to the Khyber for McKee and Labuda’s England Belong To Twee! Why is every DJ night followed by an exclamation? Sayin’
SUNDAY
>>> Check out our listings for info about where to drink for cheap tonight. Or give your money to a good cause and head to the benefit for Andrea Collins Smith at the M Room. Read about why she is having a benefit here.
>>> You know we are obsessed with John From Cincinnati so that is what we are doing tonight. Get into this Philadelphia (and then explain to us what the hell is going on, cause that shit is getting crazy.)

After the jump we tell you which bands to see at this weekends XPoNential Fest!

So, it pretty much goes without saying that you should try to be outside as much as possible before it gets all wintry in this city. Cause winter here lasts forever. Lucky for you, the folks at XPN have planned a 4 day outdoor concert to make it easier to enjoy your summer. And even luckier for you that we are here to make sure you only go see the good bands. Cause we are most definitely trying to avoid any weird 90′s vibe and/or any Lillith Fair type shit. First off, I know how bummed you must be that Bob Mould canceled, but get over it, he is old and needs his rest. Moving on, todays line-up features two of our favorite local bands, A-Sides at 3 and Bitter Bitter Weeks go on at 4:40. There are some bigger bands (Cracker, what?) after that and then The Fratellis wrap up the night at 9:05.
The best of Saturdays line-up happens early in the day as well with The Swimmers, Hoots and Hellmouth, and Illinois all before 2:30. XPN favs Los Lonely Boys play just after 7. Sunday brings you Dr. Dog and The Cobbs in the early afternoon and then at in the evening The Smithereens, and bar favorite Blackthorn. Check out the entire line-up with times here. And if you have kids, don’t forget the Kids Corner Stage, it might be the best thing about this whole fest. Happy XPN fest ya hippies! Check out the entire schedule here.
