WMGK was running Alice Cooper’s excellent syndicated radio show “Nights With Alice Cooper” for a while. A great mix of semi-obscure classic, garage and glam rock, with a bit of new and more obvious classic jams sprinkled in. [...]
They eventually stopped carrying the show. As if that didn’t suck enough, they’re replacing it in the 10pm weeknight slot with some syndicated yukfest called the “Free Beer & Hot Wings Show”, hosted by Gregg Daniels (aka “Free Beer”), Chris Michels (aka “Hot Wings”). Here’s a selling point: it used to be the morning show at The Hawk, the now-defunct classic rock station in Trenton!

Real talk: Sometimes we sit around the office here and think of ways we can stage an Airheads-esque takeover of WMGK to save them from themselves. ‘MGK, if you’re out there reading this, you gotta know: You’re like an old alcoholic uncle who’s got so much potential, but just can’t stay off the crank. Visualize success, WMGK. And by “success,” we don’t mean the fucking Weekend At Bernie’s that is John Debella, or these no-talent assclowns from the Hot Queef And Dickwings Show. We mean MORE LED ZEP, MORE LITTLE STEVEN, MORE RAY KOOB, MORE ALICE COOPER AND MOOOOOORE COWBELL!!!
