Musical Rumblings: Free (Beats For) Tony Yayo
>>> We know, we know: You’re trying to catch a break in this crazy business of music, but you just can’t track down G-Unit to get that oh-so-valuable advice about how to big up and stay real. Luckily for you and your 250 dollars, at the Producers’ Business Workshop on the 16th at Liberty Place…
G-UNIT A&R DRE MCKENZIE will be joining us to:
1. Listen to and critique tracks from each producer
2. Accept tracks for potential placements on the upcoming Tony Yayo (pictured), Spider Loc, and Hot Rod albums.
3. Take beats for 50 Cent’s final album, Lloyd Banks‘ next project, and the G-Unit Gang album.
4. Answer questions, and give advice to producers on how to network for placements.
How is it that getting a beat on the new Tony Yayo album is like getting into Princeton? Never mind. I’m sorry I asked. [ZaneManagement]
>>> Illinois may dress like an emo band, but to Pitchfork, they’re all-the-way pre-rehab Wilco. [Pitchfork]
>>> And the loving of The Teeth doesn’t stop. This nod as Spin.com’s Band Of The Day nearly eluded us! [Spin]
