Rumblings: The Portable Hostile City, USA

travel>>> What would you say if I told you that some people don’t have to pay tax when they go shopping in Philly? Is that something you might be interested in? Yes? Too bad, it’s only for travellers. There’s gotta be a way around this. [Easier]
>>> And yes, dawgs, it can suck sometimes to be the always-shat-upon IT guy in the office, but that doesn’t make it OK to grab boobies on the LDN-to-PHL flight home from vacation. Really, it doesn’t. Also, if you scream “I am a man!,” it won’t help you. It may even get you deported. [CBS3]
>>> And finally, if you’re planning on going anywhere between now and, say, November, you better get out of town while the gettin’s good. I-76 just closed from Walnut St. to City Ave. [NBC10]

Where does it say travelers don’t have to pay tax when they go shopping?

No one pays sales tax in PA on clothing and shoes.

It says they get “discount vouchers” but I get shopping coupons in the mail all the time. It’s a marketing tool used all the time in tourism.

I don’t understand your beef, or why/what you are trying to inflame.
