Teamsters Call For Boycott Of Yuengling; Strangely, “Bud Mud” Not Among Causes Cited

yuengling

On behalf of Teamsters Local Union #830

PLEASE DO NOT BUY YUENGLING BEER
Why support a company that does not treat their employees fairly?

The Yuengling family and their management team have done the following:

* Held mandatory meetings with threats of plant closure or safety of brewery
* Refused to meet and settle grievances
* Refused to provide Local 830 information requested for negotiations
* Refused to meet with Local 830 to bargain in good faith for a new agreement
* Refused to let Local 830 Representative access to property
* Forced employees to work without a contract since March 2006
* Ignored and broken Labor Laws
* Initiated fear through threats and intimidation
* Our members were not given the right to vote yes or no by secret ballot for continued Union Representation

Teamsters Local Union #830

This appeal is directed to the general public and we are not asking anyone to cease work or to stop making deliveries.

Also, we’d like to add that Yuengling is now owned by Anheuser-Busch the official beer of white-capped Villanova douches, which is stupid and infuriating, and that Lord Chesterfield tastes like ass and is always the last thing left in the refrigerator. You could walk 47 miles of barbed wire and this shit would still not be refreshing. It’s time we killed the Lord. Our solution? Lionshead! The champagne of Wilkes-Barre.
Updated: You were right and we were wrong: Yuengling is not a part of the Anhueser-Busch empire. Philebrity regrets the error. But we meant what we said about Lord Chesterfield. Nasty.

I will stick with Yards Philly for refreshment, and a Trubbel De Yards for drunken squabbling.

Some union is trying to shove them around? I’m drinking them around the clock for now on. Unions have fucked me over…time for a pre-noon beer.

I can’t speak to Yuengling’s Teamster troubles, but I want to point out that they are NOT owned by Anheuser-Busch; they’re still privately held by the Yuengling family. Perhaps you were thinking of Rolling Rock, which A-B purchased in 2006 and moved production from Latrobe to Newark. That is a little stupid and infuriating, but Rolling Rock has always been a little stupid and infuriating, so there you have it.

Lord Chesterfield DOES taste like ass, though.

Yuengling is not owned by Anheuser-Busch, I don’t know where you got that from.

Somebody should tell the folks at Victory in Downingtown not to charge, like, $47 a sixpack.
