Philly Mag To Endorse Nutter; Editorial Staff Reserves Space In June Issue For Requisite Philly Mag Takedown Piece

nutterThis just in: Philadelphia Magazine is endorsing none other than Michael Nutter for the May primary. Which is important, you know, because they have so many readers who live within the city limits and all. But never mind all that. Here’s why they’re throwing down:

[...] there is one candidate in this race who has, over the years, shown a willingness to take on the entrenched interests and do the people’s business. His name is Michael Nutter, and he’s been on the right side of virtually every public issue the city has faced over the past decade and a half. The Police Advisory Commission, domestic partner benefits legislation, ethics in government, wage tax reduction, the smoking ban — none of it would have happened without former councilman Nutter’s Job-like persistence.

But we here at Philebs are a little skeptical of Philly Mag’s intentions: A part of us thinks they just want him to be mayor so they can dish on what Nutter’s up to at the Ukranian Club. Look out, Mike! We swear we saw Dan Lee hiding in the bushes!
