Patti Smith: Complete 1975-2006: Lyrics, Reflections and Notes for the Future and Auguries of Innocence (Ecco Press)
Godmother of punk and 2007 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Patti Smith returns to the Free Library to sing and recite poetry from her collection Auguries of Innocence.

Date and time TBA, but we’re psyched. And Patti, if you are out there reading this, don’t you think it’s time you just moved back to Philly? I mean, come on. You’re getting older ‚Äî hell, we’re all getting older ‚Äî and now more than ever, Philly desperately needs your freak presence in every aspect of public life. Just think about it. We’re here. We’re not going anywhere. Love ya, babe.

Ms. Smith will headline the music stage on Saturday, April 21 at 5:45 p.m.

    It’s free.

I love how much freakier, concrete and gorgeous she looks next to the 2-D, plastic, heavily made up Lee and Bob Woodruff.
