    trivia:

When Philips invented the compact disc, they chose Mario Lanza’s voice recordings as the first recording in history to be transferred to a CD.

Now THAT, my friends, is a suit. Damn.

Also, that doe-eyed brunette Mario’s smitten with is the actress Katherine Grayson, upon whom my dad has had a mad crush since about 1935.

Yep, that’s a custom suit, alright. Slim, European cut–no baggy excess material like you see in American off-the-rack. Proper sleeve length, just a flash of cuff when the hands are at the sides, beautiful roll in the lapels, crisp but natural shoulders. Would have gone with a double-vented jacket, though; single-vented jackets bunch up when you put your hand in your pocket or sit down. Many Italian cut jackets don’t even have a vent. He shouldn’t have all three buttons on his jacket closed, though.

    Italians.

    Very cute woman, too.
