SEPTA is revealing what it may have to do, come July 1st, to balance its budget because the transit agency can’t anticipate state budget help amid its escalating financial crisis.

Governor Rendell wants to tax oil company profits to generate millions of dollars for public transit across the commonwealth, but SEPTA general manager Faye Moore says the stark reality is it won’t happen soon enough:

“We’re talking about moving from $2.00 to $2.50 for your cash fare.”

Man, this is feeling sooooo Halloween ’05. Mostly, we’re just happy to rock that old graphic.

    unbelievable how inept that organization is. maybe if they started making change and doing even one iota’s worth of customer service, they might survive. what a money pit.
