Fire Department Statement of Fire Cause Determination

Philadelphia: Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers reports that the Fire Marshal has determined the cause of the following fires:

* #7 Bank Street (The Five Spot) to be careless smoking.
The 4 alarm fire occurred on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 9:31 A.M. and was
placed under control at 11:32 A.M.

    I’m sure the fire had nothing to do with all of those space heaters being left on “accidentally”.
