When Publicists Attack: “Philly Is HAVING ITS MOMENT!”
Forwarded from a friend in NYC:
Since I’ve started working with bands from Philadelphia, everybody in New York lays claim to how much they looooove Philly. “The art scene! The music scene! The record stores! The cute boys!” etc. etc. O-kay, Philly is having its moment! So I have to HIGHLY recommend this upcoming show at Cakeshop with three bands from Philadelphia’s indie/punk/DIY scene. This will be a fun, loud, high energy, and colorful show. I’ve attached photos below as visual aids…
We just thought this was funny. After the jump, the big reveal on whose publicist didn’t read the Sixth Borough article. The answer may surprise you!

++++++SHOW INFO:
Three bands from West Philadelphia’s notorious Danger! Danger! House scene will perform at NYC’s Cakeshop–Red Rocket, Pony Pants, and Barking Spiders, along with Brooklyn’s Flaming Fire. Danger! Danger! House (named for it’s out-of-date security system which exclaims “Danger! Danger!” when activated) is an art co-op, record label, rehearsal and performance space in West Philadelphia’s indie/punk/experimental community, run and inhabited by members of Red Rocket. The space is quickly becoming a venue on the DIY-house show circuit, hosting local and touring bands.

Wow. That’s a lot of explanation points. I think it could be improved with the line, “Danger! Danger! will be opening for Panic! At the Disco this summer. Watch for their national TV debut on Extra! this week!”
