I concur. Having been relatively unfamiliar at the time,MBV wowed a City Gardens packed with instant fans. One of the most memorable shows I’ve ever seen.

Absolutely. How about Ride? Or numerous Superchunk shows?

WOW. I was just talking with someone about the MBV/Dinosaur JR show recently. It was ABSOLUTELY in the top 5 of my all-time favourite shows – I remember it like it was yesterday.
    Amazing.

Saw that Cramps/Horton Heat show. Good times.

Saw this Cramps show, too. Tallest band in Christendom. Lux sweat so much he poured a beer can’s worth out of his high heels.

Never saw the sense in seeing MBV live. It was more bedsit “head” music for me, something to be listened to at home in a dim room resting on very comfortable pillows in a robe and slippers–and a catamite with a mouthful of ice cubes blowing on one’s brow.

God, Calhoun was a nasty little street. Had some very close calls.
