Musical Rumblings: Your Musical Peanut Butter Is In My Conceptual Chocolate, Man

voltron>>> So, after being out for what feels like six months, The Capitol Years and National Eye have just returned from tour ‚Äî they’re having a lil’ welcome home shin-gig tonight at Johnny Brenda’s ‚Äî and proud we are of all of them. What a lot of folks don’t know, though, is the secret Voltron-like form the two bands took on while out there. Basically, it was the same handful of people on stage every night, but swapping out frontment and so on for each respective set. This sounds jinky, sure, but luckily, the Phileb has scored some recordings of the National Years (or, if you prefer, Capitol Eye) made for Iowa public radio, and dawg, you can’t argue with results:
The Capitol Years: “Dance Away The Terror… As The Terror Dances Your Way” [mp3, live in Cedar Falls, Iowa]
National Eye: “Silver Agers” [mp3, live in Cedar Falls, Iowa]
>>> Meanwhile, among Mazarin fans ‚Äî the Philly band led by Quentin Stolzfus, of course ‚Äî there’s been rumors for a while now of some other, pre-existing band called “Mazarin” who are not happy about this state of affairs at all. While the two groups duke it out, though, here’s the link for the “other” Mazarin’s website. If you think it’s confusing now, just wait until the Philly Maz all grow mullets and start playing at Air Force bases.
>>> And yes, we know that we are totally like the last people in the world to report this, but Bill Ricchini done got the hookup and landed a tune on Gray’s Anatomy. We were too busy writing McDreamy fan fiction to notice. Sorry, Billy. [Blinq]

Wait, Philly’s Mazarin was around way before 1976, right?
