Philebrity Decodes: Ballot Question So Laden With Catholic Guilt It Should Come With A Starter Marriage And A Therapy Bill

jesus

Shall the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter be amended to allow for a preference in the civil service regulatons for the children of Philadelphia firefighters or police officers who were killed or who died in the line of duty?

PHILEBRITY DECODES:

Yo, if your dad dies putting out fires or gets shot on the hamster wheel of Murderdelphia and you get depressed and give up completely on your own life as well, DON’T YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO A CITY JOB? Really though.

Seriously: Who is going to vote against this? Oh, you, you say? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? Why do you HATE THE CHILDREN OF DEAD CIVIL SERVANTS? IS THIS HOW WE RAISED YOU? Get out of my sight this minute, young man!

I voted against it because it sounds like workfare for South Philly orphans. It’s just weird.

I mean, can’t they just hire these poor kids anyway?

And what if some 20 year old can’t get a job… now he can hire a hitman to kill his firefighting daddy and score a sweet position at city hall.
