This Evening: No, Baby, It’s Cool. Keep The Mask On.

bush mask>>> And so Halloween actually comes to Halloween: There’s a ton of parties going on tonight, from the stoop at your friends on down to the clubs, and you know what? It’s nice to go to parties during the week, on a Tuesday night. People should make more excuses to do things like this. Perhaps it’s the pagan lesson Halloween has to offer us all, son. Anyway, cruise our Halloween listings and our listings section in general to see what’s fit for you.
>>> In the meantime, we recommend the Philly Against Santorum party at The M Room, for all the obvious reasons, plus the chance to get to take someone who’s wearing a George Bush mask home. There’s a “Who is the scariest Right-Winger!” costume contest and DJ Michael Anderer.
>>> Meanwhile, Windsor For The Derby make their first Philly appearance since showing up on the Marie Antoinette soundtrack. (Which is fantastic, by the way.) They play the Johnny Brenda’s Halloween Party with Adam Granduciel (of The War On Drugs and The Capitol Years), Kurt Vile & The Violators and DJ Grogosphere. 9pm.
>>> And if you peep the comments on today’s Mike Wild item, you’ll also get hip to the Mikey Wild Scary Psychedelic Music Explosion at The Raven, which is going to be sick. Sick, we tell you. Happy Halloween, everybody!
