PHILEBRITY EXCLUSIVE: Saturday Night Partygoers Hosed By Fake TV On The Radio Afterparty
By all accounts, Saturday night’s TV On The Radio show at the Starlight Ballroom was a triumphant one, with the Brooklyn alt-rock faves rocking a sold-out crowd within an inch of its life. But the one problem was, where to go afterward? Had you been poking around, though, you may have noticed an advertisement for what promised to be a rager of an afterparty. The flyer told you everything you needed to know.

Film Crew2022 N. Hancock St
(at Frankford)
But it seems that this wonderful party was never quite to be, and indeed, too good to be true. First clue: 2022 N. Hancock is way the fuck up here, not at Frankford. And furthermore, we’re not entirely sure there is anything at all at 2022 N. Hancock, much less a hipster-film-crew- American-Apparel-jerkoff-free-beer-fantasy. Says one reader: “Basically we all drove down there and the address, which is just north of Norris St & nowhere near Frankford, was a mechanic’s garage. There was no one around who wasn’t at JB’s or Starlite first. We were all kinda bummed, but in the end we had been had.” Yes you were, partygoers! Aww, c’mere. Let’s give you guys some noogies. Never let it be said that you didn’t put the “soldier” in partytrainsoldier. Now if we could only get one of you people to be a friggin’ partytraindetective.

Good thing all 1,200 TV on the Radio/Grizzly Bear fans didn’t show up at our afterparty. Woulda taken the charm out of the campfire… Bet they don’t have campfires up on the twenty hundred block of N. Hancock.

Actually that Killers show is cancelled, somebody in the band’s family is sick or some shit. You should totally still have the afterparty though.
