This Evening: Positively Boggsolutely!
>>> We’re not totally sure, but we think tonight marks the first big out-of-town headliner at the freshly-cracked Johnny Brenda’s. The Boggs are an NYC/Berlin band that seems like they have 12 people in the band and each one of them wants the music to belong to a different genre. The result is this crazy angular shouty folk blues discopunk that, frankly, may not be music at all. But it sure is fun. This should be a good one, with openers Remote Islands and TK Webb. Tuneage? Why not.

>>> Awww, Last Love! I mean, seriously: Look. How. Cute. Darshana, Chetana, Pearl and Bryan Yah Mos Def show y’all what “international mo’twang” is all about. At The Khyber. Meanwhile, Paradise At Key West is also not to be denied. Solution: Dancing in rollerskates.
>>> Chris Devlin, one of the Spank Rock DJs, does it up with Isaac Jordan at The Walnut Room.
>>> And for the newlybeards: If you somehow get squeezed out of Sufjan Stevens at the Tower Theatre, check out the sweet garden/house show in Fishtown at the Compound with Sir Richard Bishop. More info on the flyer, which you can peep here.
