Dr. Dog Ink New Deal For The US; Amazing-Racked Girl In Photo Still Unidentified

dr. dogTwo late-breaking indie rock items of note, the first of which concerns Beatle-loving longhair Philly faves Dr. Dog. After apparently pussyfooting with the entire record industry for roughly 18 years (or 2 in people-time), the band has just inked a deal to release the group’s sophomore album early next year (to be preceded by an EP in September). Who’s the lucky winner? Hot damn, it’s Park The Van Records! PTV released Dr. Dog’s debut, Easy Beat, to worldwide critical acclaim. The band will continue to be represented by Rough Trade in the UK and beyond, which is probably good, because Chris Park The Van can’t be in two places at one time. Yet.
