Throughout the morning, though, the stretch of Main Street south of the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge remained mostly dry. A small snapping turtle perched defiantly on the yellow painted curb in front of Shop of India at Main and Mechanic.
“It looks like everybody’s flooded out,” a police officer laughed as she snapped a photo of the turtle.
