Vince Fumo Likes His Inbox Squeaky Clean, Yo
And as always, it’s the IT guys who take the hit:
The indictment, which identifies only Luchko and Eister by name, alleges that the two men:
• Systematically destroyed e- mails sent to or received from Fumo and Arnao;
• Created and implemented schedules to run computer programs that erased any trace of deleted electronic files from computer hard drives;
‚Ä¢ Instructed Fumo’s employees not to save any e-mails sent to or received from Fumo;
‚Ä¢ Logged in to e-mail accounts of Fumo’s employees to scan their e-mail to see if they were saving any Fumo-related e-mail; and
• Deleted and wiped other electronic devices, such as BlackBerries, used by Fumo and Arnao, among others.
What’s not mentioned here is that they also took time each day to delete unfunny comments, lame bands and ugly girls from Fumo’s Myspace page. Lots of dead weight there.
