PHILEBRITY EXCLUSIVE! Park The Van Signs The Capitol Years
Jeez, what Philly band aren’t they gonna sign? In the last 24 hours, Philebrity has learned that our house band, The Capitol Years, has signed with our other buddies, Park The Van Records. Many of you will recall PTV from such musical groops as Dr. Dog, The Teeth and The National Eye. Meanwhile, regular readers of this site will know The Cap-Yrs well by now, especially from the whole Non D. Plume/”Mirage People” incident, as well as the Weekender, SXSW, our Christmas party, the block party and the time they drove Sweeney back from SXSW and he talked about himself the entire time. Oh, wait. Nevermind. Anyway, we’d like to wish both PTV and the Caps a big ol’ “Mazel tov!” Sources say that the new Capitol Years record is already in the can, and should be ready for a fall release.
