Y100Rocks Celebrates One Year Of Playing One Decent Song Per Hour
It’s hard to believe that it was one year ago already that the terrestrial radio suckpot that was WPLY aka Y-100 was pulled asunder, forcing its fans to finally fess up on how much they dislike “faggots” and black people. (We don’t know why they had to admit it, either: To this day, it still strikes us as a kind of cultural Tourette’s.) But you gotta hand it to the Y100Rocks folks ó†all logic and black eyes aside, they’ve fought the good fight, getting a major Internet radio station off the ground and actually managing to play some decent tunes from time to time. Considering where/what they came from, this is a rather Olympian feat. So on the one year anniversary of the whole hullaballoo, we say to the Y’s: Good on ya, kids. Now if we could just hook you guys up with some makeovers…
