City To Bulldoze Last Remaining Bits Of Character From Convention Center ‘Hood

Yay, douchebags! This morning comes the news that our fair city, in a cold wintry blast of wehavenofuckingidea, will see fit to bulldoze the area from Arch to Race and 13th to Broad streets in a frankly mind-blowing effort to turn the area into the world’s largest TGI Friday’s. Among the displaced:

ï†Center City Car Wash & Detail Center at 1308 Race St.
ï†Edward’s, a 24-hour adult-book shop at 1319 Arch St.
ï†The Fabric Workshop and Museum in the Gilbert Building at 1315 Cherry St.
ï†The city’s most historic fire station - a brick building at 1328 Race St., featuring three graceful arches and six unusual gargoyles of helmeted firefighters.

And, not least, The Paul Green School Of Rock. Sigh.
