Advance Warning: ON SALE NOW! Espers/Feathers/Adam Arcuragi
Hi folks. As we told you last week, this Saturday we are proud to be presenting, for one night only, a really special show featuring Philly’s own Espers and Adam Arcuragi, along with Vermont freak-folk tribe Feathers as the meat in the middle of this awesome sandwich. Not least among the bullet points of this show is the fact that it’s being held in The Fels Planetarium in The Franklin Institute, and the bands will play directly under some truly spectral displays of the stars. Frankly, we can’t believe we’re getting to do this. The reason for the season is the Institute’s celebration of 51 years of the human heart exhibit. To celebrate, they’ll be keeping the place open for 51 hours this weekend, and peep that link for a full schedule of events. Meantime, we’d like to let you know that as of 4pm this afternoon, tickets for the show will be on sale via Ticketweb for $11. ($10 plus a $1 service charge. And while we are at it, thanks to our friends at Paper Street for the assist on getting these on the web quickly for us.) To get everyone in the mood, here’s some mp3s:
Espers: “Rosemary Lane” [mp3]
Feathers: “Old Black Hal With A Dandelion [mp3]
Adam Arcuragi: “1981″ [mp3]
Based on the nature of the response we’ve already been getting, and the relatively small capacity of the Fels, we strongly advise folks to buy tickets now, as it seems that the show will most definitely sell out. Enjoy the tunes, and we’ll see you soon!
