The Pew Charitable Trusts, the local philanthropy that had launched a behind-the-scenes effort to rename [30th Street Station] in honor of Benjamin Franklin, today issued a statement saying it was abandoning the campaign.

Sigh. If only the same had happened for Columbus Blvd. Can’t somebody get The Pew to tank that shit, as well?
