Over the weekend, our bud Chris McKenna hunkered down and, for some reason unknown to us even still, spent some time dumping an old VHS dub of the 1985 NCAA championships to digital. (This is the kind of shit Chris does. Don’t ask.) But what he found while doing this was even better, some would argue, than Vanillanova roiling Georgetown for the second year in a row: Ancient TV commercials. Among them? This Inky spot, which comes over all kinds of Pointer Sisters-riffic. All we could think of while we were watching this was how awesome the wrap party must have been at the ad agency, and how you know everyone was trying to hit on the girl in the commercial with the big sleeves and Cyndi Lauper bow in her hair. Sigh. Sometimes I think this city might have been worlds better when it totally sucked.
