Spinto Band, Mitch Fiction Snubbed In Annual Irrelevancy Grammy Awards

Floetry, the London-born, Philadelphia-based hip-hop/soul duo, were nominated in the urban/alternative performance category for their song “SupaStar.”
Among the other Philadelphia-area nominees are pianist Bill Cunliffe, an assistant professor of jazz studies at Temple University, who’s up for “Do it Again,” in the jazz instrumental arrangement category from his album ImaginaciŪn.
Hezekiah Walker, the gospel-hip-hop preacher based in Bensalem and Brooklyn, N.Y., is up for three Grammys with his Love Fellowship Choir: best gospel performance and best gospel song for “Lift Him Up,” and best gospel choir or chorus album for 20/85 The Experience.
And Rodney Jerkins, the Pleasantville, N.J.-bred producer, is nominated as a songwriterof Destiny’s Child’s “Cater 2 U,” in the R&B song category.

Yeah, that’s right, we only bolded Jerkins.
