Subject: Nose Tube – Happy Hour?

Hi!

So a lot of you already know that I got a GI tube stuck up my nose and down my throat to measure the acid in my stomach today. Believe me, it is far less glamorous than it sounds…the tube is sticking out of my nose and is attached to some device on my belt. Also, I want you all to know that getting a tube through your sinus cavity is, in a word, unpleasant.

Does anyone want to meet me after work at 5:15/5:30 for a drink to celebrate my nose tube? I hear Bump (13th and Locust), obnoxious though it may be, has a pretty good happy hour deal AND it’s right around the corner from my apartment. Drinks and Nose tubes… good times.

Incidentally, when asking around about happy hour places, all my gay friends suggested Bump while my straight friends just shrugged their shoulders. I’m sure there’s some sociological significance to that.
