Alright, so here’s our elevator pitch for The First Annual Philebrity Turkey Jam tonight at Silk City. Besides the copious talent involved ó which you should already know includes Sweatheart and DJs Dryw Melange, Jojo Sweeney and Doyle and Patrick from The A-Sides spinning monster party jams all night long ó there are also pragmatic reasons to go. Without putting too fine a point on it: The And Dim Sum/No Tight Pants party at The Khyber is going to be fun for sure as well, but do you really wanna have to deal with the hypserspace clusterfuck of mooks that surely will be Old City on the biggest drinking night of the year? Ditto for Click at Fluid, but swap out “South Street” with “Old City.” Meanwhile, The Lilys were supposed to play at The Fire, but as soon as we heard that, we were like, “Yeah, THAT’ll happen” and look! We were right! They’re not! (The A-Sides and The Situation, however, are.) And of course, Lefty’s Deceiver and Mazarin are playing at The North Star, but people are getting murdered up there and the neighbors are cool with it! And with Silk City soon to become the Death Row Diner, it might be best to treat every party at Silk City these days like a last golden moment. Plus, it’ll save commuting time to PleasureTown with Josh Wink at Transit late-night. So there you have it:
